David Lynn Jasmund, of Ypsilanti Michigan, passed away peacefully at the age of 67, leaving behind a legacy of faith, family, craftsmanship, and friendship.

Born on May 4, 1959, in Ypsilanti, Michigan, David was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. He retired from General Motors after 31 years of dedicated service. Beyond his career, David was known for his many passions and talents. He was a gifted musician, a motorcycle enthusiast, and the proud owner of a cherished 1960 Harley-Davidson Panhead.

David had a lifelong appreciation for the art and history of printing. He was a member of the Amalgamated Printers Association of America and the Monks and Friars Printing Club for many years. His love of antique printing presses led him to build an impressive collection of printing equipment, preserving a craft he deeply respected and enjoyed sharing with others.

Above all, David’s faith was the cornerstone of his life. He had a personal relationship with his Savior, Jesus Christ, and his unwavering faith provided strength, purpose, and guidance throughout his life. Those who knew him witnessed a man whose trust in God shaped his character and influenced the way he loved and served his family and community.

David is survived by his beloved wife, Faith Jasmund. Together since 1977 and married in 1981, they shared a remarkable love story spanning nearly five decades. He is also survived by his children, Christin Kelty (Michael) and David Jasmund; and his cherished grandchildren, Mariah Jasmund, Draven Jasmund, Silas Kelty, and Ezra Kelty.

He is further survived by his siblings, Diane Lafferty (Lloyd), Jackie Barnes, Jeff Jasmund, Andre Jasmund (Judy), and Daryl Jasmund (Jim), as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

David was preceded in death by his father, Charles Everett Pollock; his mother and stepfather, Imogene and Erwin Jasmund; and his brother, Clarence Pollock.

David will be remembered for his steadfast faith, gentle spirit, skilled hands, love of family, and dedication to preserving the traditions and crafts he treasured. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held 2-8 pm on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at Stark Funeral Professionals.
