The annual APA Wayzgoose, or printers’ picnic, is convened somewhere in the United States each summer, a weekend letterpress affair filled with presentations, workshops, demonstrations, tours and more. A favorite each year is the Saturday flea market and auction of printers’ treasures, followed by a banquet and guest speaker. But probably the major highlight of these gatherings is just visiting with other kindred spirits who love letterpress.

WORKSHOPS
Follow THIS LINK to learn about the workshops being offered in conjunction with this year’s wayzgoose in an expanded format. There are a total of 15 workshops to choose from on Wednesday and Thursday, along with 1 additional on Sunday.

WAYZGOOSE Letterpress SWAP MEET
Our Annual APA Wayzgoose Letterpress Swap Meet will take place at the International Printing Museum on Saturday morning. Swap Meet tables are $10 each. Approximately 30 tables are available and are a random mix of 6’x2½’ and 8’x2′. You may reserve up to 2 tables for the swap meet on the registration form.
WAYZGOOSE Letterpress Auction
Our Annual APA Wayzgoose Letterpress Auction will take place at the International Printing Museum on Saturday afternoon. Just for clarity and reference, the only payments accepted for the auction will be cash, check, Zelle or pay with a credit card through PayPal.
Continental BREAKFAST, Lunches & Dinner
Light Continental Breakfasts and full Lunches will be provided Friday & Saturday as a part of your basic reservation fee. The Saturday Night Dinner with speaker, Mark Barbour, is also included in your basic reservation fee. All provided meals will be served at The International Printing Museum. Additional dinner tickets are available, if needed.
HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS
Register early! The special deal we negotiated with the Holiday Inn Los Angeles Gateway – Torrance (the event hotel) expires on July 2, 2026. The rooms can only be booked at the special APA group rate by calling the phone number or clicking on the link on the HOTEL ACCOMMODATIONS page.
The deal expires july 2nd, but early registration is strongly encouraged.
2026 LA ‘Goose Whatsapp group
WhatsApp is a free messaging app tied to your cellphone number which will allow the 2026 APA LA ‘Goose attendees to communicate during the wayzgoose.
Potential uses:
- Posting that you need a ride
- Posting that you would like to meet up with others for a meal
- Last minute changes in schedule
- Sharing photos, etc.
Instructions: Download the WhatsApp app on your smartphone and create an account using your phone number. You will receive a link in your reservation confirmation email to join the group. You will need to follow that link to join.
WAYZGOOSE KEEPSAKES
Attendees are encouraged to print a special keepsake for the wayzgoose. Please print at least 100. You can deliver them at check in or mail ahead of time to be distributed at the wayzgoose. Keepsake prints do not count as a bundle item, so do not count towards the minimum participation requirement.

2026 APA LA ‘GOOSE SCHOLARSHIPS
These scholarships are designed to sponsor a current APA member and/or a current/former student of a letterpress printer to make attending their first wayzgoose more affordable and attainable. This year, the scholarship is anticipated to cover the basic registration fee and a travel/accommodations stipend for a total award of approximately $500. Two scholarships will be awarded. You may fill out your application by CLICKING HERE.
Scholarship Applications will be open until May 15, 2026. A final decision will be made and the winners notified no later than June 1, 2026.
2026 APA LA ‘GOOSE Souvenir T-SHIRTS
We are offering a new idea for souvenir 2026 APA LA ‘GOOSE T-Shirts. This year, bring your own T-Shirt with you to the wayzgoose. We will be set up for everyone to screen print their own souvenir T-Shirt at the International Printing Museum. A limited number of T-Shirts may be available for purchase at the museum as well.
