Tour Guide: Mark Barbour
Location:

7540 Liberty Avenue
Corona, California

Cost: FREE

As of 4/15/26, 17 people have registered to attend!

Curator Mark Barbour will host a tour and rare viewing of the infamous Printing Museum’s warehouse in Corona, 50 miles east of Carson. This will be a rare, behind the scenes look into the 10,000 square foot storage, packed floor to ceiling with letterpress gems, surplus machines and type and so much more. Mark warns, “Prepare yourself for an American Pickers experience!” There resides the bulk of the Dave Peat Type & Press Collection, the Smithsonian/Morgan Type Collection, the Bruce McDonald Collection and the Guy Botterill Type Collection, each full of the most amazing typographical gems!

Please indicate your interest in going on this tour on the registration form and if you will need a ride, or are willing to offer car pool services with your vehicle. Depending on how many respond, we will probably have a rented van to accommodate easy transportation. Interested people will depart from the IPM in Carson at 9:00am, as it is an approximate 60 minute drive east of the IPM. The warehouse will be open until the late afternoon if there is interest.
