Getting to Washington, DC

By Rail: take Amtrak to Union Station. Buy a Metro Card (SmarTrip) at Union Station. Ride the Red Line towards Shady Grove. At Metro Center, transfer to the Blue Line towards Franconia/Springfield. Get off the Blue Line at Crystal City and walk 500 yards to the hotel.

By Air to DCA – National (closer): the Crowne Plaza Crystal City offers a complimentary shuttle from 4:30am – 11:00pm daily from the Hotel Shuttle pickup area.

By Air to IAD – Dulles (farther): from Dulles Airport, board the Silver Line towards Largo. At Roslyn, transfer to the Blue Line towards Franconia/Springfield. Get off the Blue Line at Crystal City and walk 500 yards to the hotel. Note, from Dulles it’s a 1 hour and 20 minute Metro ride.

By Car: parking is available at the Crowne Plaza Crystal City. Be sure to tell the concierge you’re staying with the APA Wayzgoose to enjoy our negotiated rate of $20/night (otherwise, it’s $44/night).

Getting Around DC:

DC Metro: Fares are based on distance traveled; all Wayzgoose-related routes are $2. For round trip Metro service from the hotel to the Wayzgoose on Friday and Saturday, plus the Library of Congress excursion, buy a Metro Card with at least $12 on it. You can buy a Metro Card (SmarTrip) at any station.

Rideshare and Taxi: yes, plenty of both

Bike, eBike, and Scooter: use an app to activate these anywhere you see one. They’re cheap and easy. Not recommended on highways but hey, you do you.
