This annual event of the Amalgamated Printers’ Association is taking place in Chicago June 25th-28th this year and is open to both APA members and non-members. The Amalgamated Printers\u2019 Association was organized in 1958 as a hobby printers group so that members could improve their skills, expand their knowledge and exchange samples of their letterpress work. Today it consists of both professional and amateur letterpress printers, with an emphasis on the exchange of members\u2019 letterpress printing, information on sources of equipment and better printing practices.<\/p>\n
This year’s lineup includes workshops at many incredible print facilities around the city, a look at Chicago’s important role in the history of printing and the opportunity to see where the vibrant, urban letterpress community is headed.<\/p>\n
